Mercedes-Benz Will Extend 4Matic Range For 2012. If you’ve been eying a new Mercedes-Benz C-Class or E-Class coupe, but are hesitant to pull the trigger due to the cars' rear-drive layout, we’ve got good news for you. In 2012, Mercedes-Benz will extend it’s 4Matic all-wheel-drive range in the United States to include the two-door variants of its popular C-Class and E-Class models.
 The news comes via Car and Driver, which advises that both C-Class and E-Class 4Matic coupes will be offered with the 3.5-liter V-6 engine only. This engine produces 302 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, which should be sufficient to meet your dashing-through-the-snow needs.
 The 4Matic coupes will be sold alongside rear-drive C-Class and E-Class coupes, and certain models (like the E550, C250 and C63 AMG) will continue to be offered in rear-drive only.
 It’s possible that a C350 4Matic sedan will join the lineup in 2012 as well, adding to the already-available C300 sedan, which comes only in 4Matic trim with the 228 horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6.
